Creative directions

Use the publicly available content as a reference while preserving the original work’s core identity. New approaches may include side stories, character prequels, continuations, parallel timelines, point-of-view shifts, world expansion or reinterpretations of the central premise.

Work requirements

Each entry should form a complete, independent new story with a clear structure, distinctive characters, short-drama conflict and sustained momentum. It should also demonstrate global audience potential, room for serialization and commercial value. Direct reproduction or a simple continuation of the original plot is discouraged.

Non-commercial use only

The selected titles, characters, worlds and related intellectual property are licensed solely for creation, submission and showcase within this competition. They may not be used for commercial distribution, paid publication, advertising, licensing, merchandise or any other profit-making purpose without prior written permission.

Co-created entries must use officially designated materials and comply with the applicable authorization rules. Unauthorized ReelShort works, characters, settings, clips or other materials are not eligible.

Incentive 2: ReelShort Global Traffic & Distribution Support

Traffic exposure: Outstanding works may receive official ReelShort placements across multiple global markets. A single work may receive up to 10M+ impressions.
Professional evaluation: Finalists receive dedicated business introductions, professional content evaluation and optimization feedback to support completion and commercial launch.
Revenue-share & distribution: Award-winning works that are completed and pass platform evaluation may enter ReelShort’s global distribution program. S+ and other high-potential projects may qualify for minimum-guarantee plus revenue-share terms and receive $10K–$50K in production funding per work. Qualified premium works may be considered for exclusive overseas distribution, with priority projects entering distribution discussions as soon as 7 business days after completion. Final terms are subject to contract.
Commercial empowerment: Selected creators may enter the ReelShort creator pool for priority access to commercial projects and minimum-guarantee opportunities.

WORK REQUIREMENTS

What your series
needs to include.

SERIES

Submit at least 5 episodes, each 1–3 minutes. The first five episodes must contain a clear and compelling hook.

FORMAT

Vertical 9:16, MOV or MP4, minimum 720p. Accurate and complete English subtitles are required.

COVER

1080 × 1440 JPG, no more than 120 KB. The filename must not contain Chinese characters.

100% ONSOLO

The finished visual content must be generated entirely with OnSolo. Keep canvases, project files and generation records for verification.

ORIGINAL FIRST RELEASE

The series must be original and unpublished, with complete rights held by the entrant. The complete work must premiere on OnSolo and the ReelShort creator platform through the winner announcement.

COMPETITION EXCLUSIVITY

During the Competition, the work may not be transferred or licensed to a third party and may not enter the same or a similar competition before awards are announced.

PUBLIC SOCIAL POST

Post a trailer or highlights totaling at least 10% of the full runtime on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels or X, with the OnSolo watermark and official tags.

RIGHTS & COMPLIANCE

You must hold all lawful rights to scripts, visuals, music, fonts, voices and likenesses, and comply with local law and relevant platform policies.

FAIR PLAY

No duplicate entries, falsified generation records, purchased traffic, bots or manipulated engagement. Violations may result in disqualification and recovery of awards.

LIVE LINKS

OnSolo and social links must remain public and unchanged through verification. Finalists and winners must cooperate with identity, rights, production and data checks.

Competition overview

OnSolo and ReelShort invite creators worldwide to make original, serialized vertical short dramas. The Competition connects creation, publication, professional evaluation and potential signing, release and distribution support.

The total prize pool comprises USD 200,000 in cash and 12,000,000 OnSolo credits. There are up to 116 award places, and the maximum cash award for one entry is USD 100,000.

Competition schedule

Entry period: August 25 — September 24, 2026.
Judging period: September 25 — October 23, 2026.
Winner announcement: October 24 — October 30, 2026.
Official showcase: October 31 — November 27, 2026.
All dates run in UTC and are subject to official organizer notices.

Creative themes and ReelShort co-creation

Themes and genres are unrestricted. Serialized stories with continuing plots are encouraged.
Recommended directions include urban superpowers, Western fantasy, romance, mafia stories and werewolf universes.
ReelShort has opened 10 selected scripts for authorized co-creation; the full list is on the General tab. Entrants may explore side stories, prequels, continuations, parallel timelines or new points of view based on the opened characters, worlds or core concepts.
Each co-created entry must be a complete, independent new story. Direct reproduction or a simple continuation of the original plot is discouraged.
The opened titles, characters, worlds and related intellectual property are licensed for creation, submission and showcase within this Competition only, and may not be used for any commercial purpose without prior written permission.
Co-created entries must use designated official materials and follow the specific license. Unauthorised ReelShort works, characters, settings, footage or other assets are ineligible.

Cash awards

OnSolo Creator Growth Program — 12M credits

Super Creator — 20 creators — 360,000 OnSolo credits per year: 30,000 credits each month, with an estimated monthly value of USD 446. Total allocation: 7,200,000 credits.
Premium Creator — 80 creators — 60,000 OnSolo credits per year: 5,000 credits each month, with an estimated monthly value of USD 74. Total allocation: 4,800,000 credits.
Selected creators may also receive official traffic support, joint promotion, case-study exposure, access to the OnSolo creator pool and priority consideration for commercial projects and long-term cooperation.
Credit issuance, validity, permitted use and account requirements are governed by the final published terms and OnSolo platform rules.

Judging and award allocation

Awards are selected by a professional jury through a combined assessment of narrative and emotional completeness, visual artistry, AI-technology application, commercial potential and ReelShort in-platform popularity.
Entries scoring below 60 points are not eligible for awards. Award places may remain vacant if there are insufficient qualifying entries.
Creators and teams may submit multiple works, but if several works by the same creator or team qualify, only the highest-level award will be granted. Cash, credits and other rewards will not be duplicated.
The jury will give particular consideration to serialized works with independent IP value or long-term development potential.

Episode, video, subtitle and cover specifications

At least 5 episodes must be submitted; each episode must be 1–3 minutes. The first 5 episodes must contain a clear hook.
Vertical 9:16 video in MOV or MP4 format, with resolution of at least 720p.
Accurate and complete English subtitles are required.
Cover: 1080 × 1440 JPG, no more than 120 KB, with no Chinese characters in the filename.

OnSolo production requirement

The work must be 100% generated using OnSolo AI. Entrants must retain the OnSolo canvas, project files and generation records to ensure technical transparency. If an entry is selected, the organizer may contact the entrant for verification, and the entrant must cooperate.

Originality, rights and first release

Entries must be original, unpublished works created by the entrant or team. Entrants must own complete, independent rights and must not infringe copyright, likeness rights or other lawful third-party rights.
During the Competition, an entry may not be transferred or licensed to a third party and, before the award announcement, may not be entered in the same or a similar competition.
The complete work must premiere on OnSolo and the ReelShort creator platform and remain first-release content through the end of the winner announcement period.
Plagiarism, duplicate submission or other violations may result in disqualification, removal and full repayment of awards already received.

Social-media publication

Publish a trailer or highlights totaling at least 10% of the work’s full runtime on at least one public TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels or X account.
Keep the OnSolo watermark and use the official tags #OnSoloxReelShort, #OnSoloAIDrama and #OnSolo.
The account and post must remain publicly visible for organizer verification.

How to enter

Step 1 — Sign in to OnSolo: sign in to your OnSolo account, or create one if you are new, and join the official competition Discord for announcements and creator support.
Step 2 — Publish on OnSolo: create with OnSolo, select Publish in the top-right corner of the canvas, add the title and synopsis, and make the canvas public.
Step 3 — Publish through a personal social account: share eligible highlights on at least one supported platform, retain the watermark and official tags, and keep the account and post public.
Step 4 — Submit your entry: open Submit Work on this page and provide the project title, the public OnSolo link and the public social link. The OnSolo link must be a share link of your own project; entries submitted with another creator’s project link are rejected.
You may submit more than one work. The same combination of OnSolo link and social link can only be submitted once.

Compliance and organizer remedies

Entries must comply with local law and the rules of OnSolo, ReelShort and the relevant social platforms and may not contain infringing content. The organizer may disqualify an entrant or winner and recover cash, credits and related benefits for non-compliance, false records, infringement, duplicate entry or manipulated activity.

Long-term creator opportunities

OnSolo Creator Growth Program: selected creators may receive membership and long-term creation credits, early access to new models and tools, official traffic support, joint promotion, case-study exposure and priority commercial opportunities.
ReelShort support: selected entries may receive official placement across multiple global markets, professional evaluation and business introductions. Award-winning works that are completed and pass platform evaluation may enter the global distribution program; S+ and other high-potential projects may qualify for minimum-guarantee plus revenue-share terms and USD 10,000–50,000 in production funding per work, subject to final ReelShort confirmation and a separate signed contract.
Selected creators may enter the OnSolo and ReelShort creator pools for priority consideration for future commercial and minimum-guarantee projects.
