The Competition is jointly launched by OnSolo and ReelShort and is open to creators worldwide. It seeks original, serialized vertical short dramas and connects creation and publication with professional evaluation and potential contracting, platform release, and distribution opportunities.

The Competition is a skill-based contest evaluated on creative ability, content quality, use of technology, audience performance, and commercial development potential. It is not a lottery, sweepstakes, or game of chance.

The total prize pool consists of USD 200,000 in cash prizes and 12,000,000 OnSolo credits. Up to 116 award places may be offered, and the maximum cash prize for a single entry is USD 100,000. All prizes and award places are subject to eligibility verification, judging results, and these Rules.

Unless otherwise stated on the Competition page, all times are based on China Standard Time (UTC+8). Entrants are responsible for time-zone conversion and for allowing sufficient time to upload and submit their entries.

The Organizers may adjust the Competition schedule due to platform failures, review requirements, force majeure, or other reasonable operational needs. Material changes will be announced on the Competition page or through an official notice.

Each entrant must be at least 18 years old and have reached the legal age of majority in their place of residence at the time of entry. Entries from persons under 18 are not eligible.

The Competition is generally open worldwide, except where participation is prohibited or restricted by applicable law (including applicable sanctions and export-control laws) or where sanctions, identity-verification restrictions, or lawful payment limitations apply. The Competition is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Entrants must maintain an OnSolo account in good standing and provide truthful, accurate, complete, and verifiable registration and submission information.

Entries may be submitted by individuals or teams. A team must appoint one representative to submit materials, receive notices, complete verification, sign required documents, and receive prizes. Attribution, ownership, and prize allocation within a team are the team’s sole responsibility.

Anyone directly involved in judging, verification, or winner selection, and anyone determined by the Organizers to have a material conflict of interest, may not participate in the relevant judging or award decision.

Original Open Track. Genres and themes are unrestricted. Serialized works with continuing plots, clear character relationships, and long-term development potential are encouraged. Recommended directions include urban supernatural stories, Western fantasy, romance, mafia stories, and werewolf universes, but these recommendations do not guarantee shortlisting or an award.

ReelShort IP Co-Creation / Remix Track. ReelShort has selected the following 10 short-drama scripts for creator co-creation. Entrants may refer to the publicly available content of the designated titles and, within the scope of the applicable special license, use relevant characters, worlds, or core concepts to create derivative works.

Creative directions: While retaining the core recognisability of the original title, entrants may reimagine the material through side stories, character prequels, story continuations, parallel universes, shifts in point of view, world expansion, or reconstruction of the core premise. Each entry should form a complete and independent new story; direct reproduction or a simple continuation of the original plot is not recommended.

Work requirements: An entry should have a clear story structure, distinctive character design, conflicts suited to short-drama pacing, and the ability to sustain narrative progression, while also demonstrating overseas-market appeal, potential for serialized development, and commercial-cooperation value.

Entrants may use publicly available episodes on the relevant platform to understand the original setting and develop their derivative works. Any use of original characters, worlds, or related elements must comply with the scope of authorization, material requirements, and remix rules published for the Competition.

Non-commercial-use restriction: The designated titles, characters, worlds, and related intellectual property are licensed solely for creation, submission, and Competition display in connection with this Competition. No commercial license is granted. Without the rights holder’s prior written permission, entrants may not use the relevant content for commercial distribution, paid dissemination, advertising or marketing, licensing transactions, merchandise or derivative-product development, or any other profit-making purpose.

Remix entries must use officially designated materials and comply with the applicable special license, attribution requirements, restrictions, and permitted term. Unauthorised ReelShort works, characters, settings, clips, or other materials are not eligible for evaluation in this track, and an entry using such material may be disqualified.

Any Competition license is limited to use for the Competition and does not automatically permit publication outside the Competition, commercial distribution, adaptation, or derivative development. Any subsequent contracting, platform release, distribution, adaptation, or other commercial development requires the rights holder’s separate written permission and a written agreement.

The work must be a serialized vertical short drama containing at least 5 episodes. At least 5 episodes must be submitted, each running 1–3 minutes. A clear story hook must be established within the first 5 episodes.

Videos must use a 9:16 vertical aspect ratio and be submitted in MP4 format, with a minimum resolution of 720p (1080p recommended for distribution), H.264 encoding, a bitrate of 8 Mbps, and a frame rate of at least 23.97 fps.

Entries must include accurate and complete English subtitles synchronized with the dialogue.

The cover must be a 1080 × 1440-pixel JPG file no larger than 120 KB, and its filename must not contain Chinese characters. The title, cover, and synopsis must not be misleading or infringe third-party rights.

The work must be generated 100% using OnSolo AI. Entrants must retain the complete OnSolo canvas, project files, and generation records to ensure technical transparency. If an entry is shortlisted, the Organizers may contact the entrant for verification, and the entrant must cooperate.

Unless otherwise permitted on the Competition page, entrants may not present externally AI-generated visuals, audio, or other core content as content generated by OnSolo. The permitted scope of non-generative editing, subtitling, colour correction, noise reduction, or format conversion is subject to the final tool rules published on the Competition page.

Entries must be original works created by the entrant or team and must not have been previously published. Entrants must own complete and independent copyright in their entries and ensure that the entries do not infringe any third party’s copyright, likeness rights, or other lawful interests. During the Competition, entrants may not transfer or license their entries to any third party, and before the award announcement they may not submit the same entry to an identical or similar event. In the event of plagiarism, duplicate submission, or another violation, the Organizers may disqualify the entrant, remove the entry, and recover any award already issued.

Entrants warrant that their works and all scripts, characters, music, sound recordings, images, footage, fonts, trademarks, voices, likenesses, and other materials contained in them do not infringe any third party’s copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, moral rights, publicity rights, likeness rights, privacy rights, or other lawful interests.

Entries must not contain unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, hateful, discriminatory, harassing, pornographic, privacy-invasive, child-exploitative, extremist, malicious-code, spam, personal-attack, or other content that violates applicable law or platform rules and must comply with applicable local laws and the rules of OnSolo, ReelShort, and the relevant social platforms. Violations may result in disqualification from the Competition or forfeiture of an award, as well as recovery of cash prizes, credits, and related benefits already issued.

Where an entry involves identifiable persons, public figures, minors, or voice cloning, the entrant must obtain all written consents required by applicable law and provide evidence upon request. The Organizers may apply stricter standards based on content safety and distribution risk.

The complete work must premiere on OnSolo and the ReelShort creator platform and must remain public, valid, and accessible through the end of the winner-announcement period.

From formal submission until the end of the winner-announcement period, entrants may not transfer or license the complete work to a third party, release or commercially distribute it in full on another content platform, or submit the same or substantially similar work to the same or a similar competition. Required trailers, highlights, or excerpts are excluded from this restriction.

Entrants must publish a trailer or content totaling at least 10% of the complete work’s runtime on at least one public social-media account.

Social posts must retain the official OnSolo watermark and use the official Competition hashtags #OnSoloxReelShort #OnSoloDrama #OnSolo. The account and post must remain publicly visible throughout review and data verification. Entrants must also clearly disclose that their content is AI-generated, in accordance with the OnSolo Terms of Service and applicable law.

Step 1—Register with OnSolo: Register or sign in to OnSolo, then enter the official competition Discord channel. Completing both actions confirms your competition registration.

Step 2—Create and publish on OnSolo: Create your series with OnSolo. When it is complete, click Publish in the upper-right corner of the canvas, add a title and synopsis, and make the canvas public.

Step 3—Publish highlights on social media: Share a trailer or highlights totaling at least 10% of the full runtime on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels or X. Keep the OnSolo watermark, official tags and post public.

Step 4—Check and submit your entry: Review all materials, select Submit Work at the top of the competition page, complete every required field, confirm your entry and check your email for confirmation.

An entry is formally submitted only after the submission system confirms successful receipt and sends a confirmation email.

The Organizers may conduct rolling reviews of eligibility, age and territory, technical specifications, OnSolo generation records, originality, premiere status, social links, ReelShort publication status, rights documents, and content compliance. Passing an initial review does not guarantee shortlisting or an award.

Entries will be evaluated comprehensively based on narrative and emotional completeness, character development, visual artistry, application of AI technology, short-drama pacing, overseas-market fit, commercial potential, and popularity on ReelShort, with particular attention to serialized works with standalone IP value or long-term development potential.

Entries with an overall score below 60 are not eligible for awards. Award places are maximums rather than guarantees; if there are insufficient qualifying entries, the Organizers may reduce the number of winners or leave an award unfilled.

An entrant or team may submit multiple works. If multiple works meet shortlist or award criteria, only the highest-level award will generally be granted, and cash, credits, and other rewards will not be duplicated.

In the event of a tie, valid in-platform data, content quality, overseas-market fit, commercial development value, and formal submission time will be considered in that order. If the tie remains unresolved, the judging committee will determine the result after review.

The cash awards listed above total up to USD 200,000. All results remain preliminary until eligibility, rights, technical, data, and identity verification have been completed.

The Program allocates a total of 12,000,000 OnSolo credits. Selected creators may also receive official traffic support, joint promotion, case-study exposure, inclusion in the OnSolo creator pool, and priority consideration for commercial projects and long-term cooperation.

Credit issuance, validity, permitted use, account requirements, stated value, and other restrictions are governed by the final Program terms published on the Competition page and the OnSolo platform rules. Credits are not cash and may not be redeemed for their stated value unless OnSolo expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

Outstanding entries may receive ReelShort official placement, professional evaluation, optimization feedback, business introductions, platform testing, contracting, acquisition, revenue-sharing, distribution, or other cooperation opportunities.

Award-winning completed works may be considered for revenue-sharing cooperation. Exceptional projects may be considered for minimum-guarantee plus revenue-share arrangements, script acquisition, commissioned development, or co-production. All opportunities are subject to ReelShort’s independent review and a separate written agreement signed by the relevant parties.

Shortlisting, selection, or winning does not obligate ReelShort, OnSolo, or their affiliates to contract, acquire, release, distribute, provide fixed traffic, guarantee minimum income, or offer any specified revenue-share percentage.

The Organizers may require a potential winner to provide identification, proof of age and territory, tax forms, payment information, team authorization, copyright and likeness releases, OnSolo project and generation records, source files, and ReelShort or social-platform analytics, together with other reasonable materials.

A potential winner must respond and complete verification within the period stated in the notice. Failure to respond, refusal to cooperate, or inability to pass verification may result in disqualification and replacement based on ranking or judging results.

Cash prizes will be paid in U.S. dollars. No prize includes a tax gross-up. Winners are solely responsible for income tax, value-added tax, and other taxes imposed by their tax residence or any other applicable jurisdiction. The Organizers may withhold tax as required by law and may require tax-compliance documents.

Currency-conversion fees, wire-transfer charges, intermediary-bank fees, and costs arising from incorrect payment information supplied by a winner are the winner’s responsibility. Teams are solely responsible for internal prize allocation.

Purchasing views, likes, comments, followers, or shares is prohibited, as is the use of bots, automated scripts, fake accounts, click farms, engagement-exchange groups, coordinated inauthentic activity, or any other method of manipulating OnSolo, ReelShort, or social-platform data.

If an entrant provides false information, impersonates another person, fails age or territory requirements, infringes rights, submits an unauthorised remix or duplicate entry, falsifies generation records, refuses verification, manipulates data, or commits another material violation, the Organizers may issue a warning, require correction, remove anomalous data, take down the work, disqualify the entrant or winner, suspend accounts, terminate cooperation, and recover cash, credits, and related benefits already issued.

The Organizers may audit metrics using reasonable methods, including requesting access to platform analytics or backend data. Normal public promotion directed to genuine users is not prohibited by this provision.

Copyright and other intellectual-property rights in an original-track entry remain with the entrant or original rights holder. Submission does not transfer ownership of the work to the Organizers.

For the administration, review, display, and promotion of the Competition, each entrant grants the Organizers, OnSolo, ReelShort, and designated Competition partners a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license, sublicensable for Competition purposes, to host, reproduce, transcode, display, distribute, communicate to the public, and publicly perform all or part of the work, and to create subtitles, thumbnails, still images, and promotional edits. This license is valid from submission until twelve (12) months after the winner announcement.

The Organizers will provide reasonable creator attribution where commercially practicable. Script acquisition, exclusive distribution, adaptation, sequel development, buyout, revenue sharing, minimum guarantees, commissioned development, co-production, or commercial release beyond Competition administration and promotion requires separate written consent or agreement.

Ownership of ReelShort IP and official materials does not transfer through participation. Rights in and permitted uses of newly created material in an IP co-creation entry are governed by the applicable special license and any subsequent written agreement.

The Organizers may collect and process an entrant’s name, email address, country or region, social accounts, OnSolo account, team information, work and submission data, identity and tax materials, and platform data required for verification, for registration, communication, review, judging, anti-fraud measures, result announcements, prize administration, and commercial-cooperation assessment.

To the extent necessary, this information may be shared with OnSolo, ReelShort, judges, payment, tax, identity-verification, technical, and Competition service providers, and lawful authorities. Personal data may be stored or processed outside the entrant’s country of residence.

Personal data of non-winning entrants will generally be deleted or anonymized within ninety (90) days after the winner announcement, except where continued retention is required for law, dispute resolution, security audits, or legitimate business records. Winner data may be retained as required for tax, accounting, audit, and license-term purposes.

Subject to applicable law, entrants may request access to, correction, deletion, or portability of their personal data, or withdraw consent to processing. Requests may be sent to support@onsolo.ai. Use of Google Forms or another third-party submission tool is also governed by that provider’s privacy policy. Entrants should also review the OnSolo Privacy Policy at https://onsolo.ai/privacy-policy and, where applicable, the ReelShort privacy policy.

Except for ReelShort’s role as a joint initiator, the Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube (Google), Instagram (Meta), Discord, Google Forms, or any other third-party platform used for publication or submission, and those platforms bear no responsibility for the Competition.

Entrants must comply with each platform’s terms of service, community guidelines, and content policies. Removal of content, account restrictions, or data adjustments by a third-party platform do not automatically entitle an entrant to an extension or replacement prize.

The Organizers do not guarantee that OnSolo, ReelShort, the submission system, or third-party platforms will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that all features, models, and upload channels will remain available. Entrants should complete creation, review, and upload in advance.

Due to technical failures, changes in law or platform policy, insufficient participation, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, public-health events, government action, major cyberattacks, internet or telecommunications outages, or other events beyond reasonable control, the Organizers may amend the Rules, adjust the schedule, substitute prizes of equal or greater value, or suspend or cancel all or part of the Competition.

Material changes will be announced on the Competition page or through an official notice. The Organizers will use reasonable efforts to preserve fairness and comply with applicable consumer-protection laws.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Organizers, their affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from participation, platform use, submission failure, data loss, third-party platform removal, metric fluctuations, failure to win, or failure to secure commercial cooperation.

The liability of the Organizers in connection with use of the OnSolo service is governed by the OnSolo Terms of Service. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Organizers’ total aggregate liability to an entrant will not exceed the value of the prize for which that entrant would have been eligible under these Rules. This provision does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited or remove the obligation to pay a formally confirmed cash prize after completed verification.

The Competition, platform features, and prizes are provided “as is” and “as available.” Except as required by applicable law, the Organizers make no express or implied warranty regarding platform operation, prize availability, third-party metric accuracy, or the outcome of any commercial cooperation.

These Rules and any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Competition are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong, China, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

The parties must first attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiations. If the dispute is not resolved within thirty (30) days after one party gives written notice of the dispute, it will be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) under the rules in effect when the arbitration is submitted. The seat of arbitration will be Hong Kong, China, and the language of arbitration will be English.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, dispute-resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class, consolidated, or representative action.

These Rules, the applicable IP co-creation special license (as published on the Competition page), the Competition page, and official notices together constitute the applicable rules. The special IP license prevails within its scope; for other conflicts, the most recently published Official Rules will control.

Section headings are for convenience only. If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure by the Organizers to enforce a right immediately does not constitute a waiver of that right.

If the Chinese and English versions are inconsistent, the English version will prevail, except where mandatory applicable law requires otherwise.
